Best Budget Buys

I like to invest in good quality both skincare and makeup brands. But it's not really ideal when you like to experiment with a lot of products. Plus my expectations are always ridiculously high and more than often have not been met. Hence, the budget area is my favourite to explore. Over the years I've managed to form a bond with a few things that I always go back to. Here's a list of all the products I would recommend. All of these have been tried and tested and repurchased many many times.

SKINCARE

Simple Hydrating Cleansing Oil & The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

Both are simple yet very effective. Fuss free + get the job done. Oil based and rich balm textures are among my favourites when it comes to cleansers.

Olay Regenerist 3 point super firming Serum

I always always seem to be going back to this one when in need of a serum. My skin looks visibly firmer and more youthful. I can definitely see the difference in texture when I stop using it.

Bodycare

Garnier Body Tonic Sugar Body Scrub

The only scrub that has worked wonders for me. Leaves my skin extra smooth. Plus the smell is deliciously refreshing.

Soap & Glory (anything)

I adore their shower products the most for their dreamy scents and creamy luscious textures. The range is a couple of quid more than the standard budget option but it's so well worth it in my opinion.

Soaper Duper Deluxe Yuzufruit & Fig Body Wash

Hate the packaging, loving what's inside. Fig scent is among my favourites and in a shower gel form? I couldn't say no to that.

Hair

Elnett Hair Spray

Tames frizz and flyaways like no other. It does a better job than all of the hair oils and serums I have tried (except Moroccan Oil).

MAKEUP

Nyx Micro Brow Pencil in Ash Brown

The closest dupe to the Brow Wiz I have managed to find. Paired with a brow gel makes a great duo to get me through the day without any major touch-ups.

Maybelline Color Tatoo Eyeshadow in Creme de Rose

It's matte but not flat, creamy but doesn't seem to crease. Doesn't fade throughout the day. Can serve as a base or a stand alone product. Winner. And it's cool toned.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

One of a very few mascaras that doesn't fall down, crumble or transfer. A must have.

Max Factor Creme Puff blusher in Nude Mauve

Now THIS is a star product. I've been recommending this to everyone for months. The shade is great, a flattering nude. the best thing about it? A satin finish without any unnecessary shimmer. Amazing quality for the price.

Topshop Glow Pot in Gleam

It offers a nice sheen instead of a cheap looking glittery pearl.

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipsticks

Silky, very comfortable on the lips, don't disappear too quickly. An interesting range of colours available. And yet I don't feel like they're being spoken about enough. I'm loving Wine Not? & Pommiegirl.
