Because I favour skincare routines over makeup I feel like I don't talk enough about what I put on my face after an SPF application. I recently instagrammed a shot of a few recent favourites and thought it'd be a good idea to chat about them.
Foundation wise I'm still into the new offering from Revlon, which I have spoken about here in detail. I am running out though and thinking of trying something else (recommendations are welcome). I also still prep my base with this fabulous 3 Concept Eyes Back to Baby Glow Beam primer. It softens and brightens up the whole base like no other.
I picked up a few of the Benefit minis as well, one of them being the Dandelion Blush. A blusher has finally become a firm staple in my routines after years of avoiding it. This one offers a nice ballerina pink flush which is what I would usually go for,
Lips wise I've been pretty predictable and went back to browns, which is unlike me because I usually ignore the seasonal trends in make up. Having previously liked Velvet Teddy, I decided to check other shades from Mac and picked Whirl and Taupe. The first one is cooler and darker toned, the latter is warmer and more work appropriate.
On my eye lids I usually go for neutral skin-like hues. I find it's what works best for me hence MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly is a good option. It's creamy, it stays on, it brightens up my entire eye area without any unnecessary shimmer for the day.
I have also started using the Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara Waterproof Black. I like this one because the wand size is smallenough to cover entire lash lengths without smudging and lid staining.
